Dr. Jamie Knigert

Description

Dr. Knigert was born and raised in Loretto, Tennesee, majored in chemistry at the University of North Alabama, and earned a master's in the same from Vanderbilt. He joined Thiokol in 1986, working on minimal signature propulsion. In 1992, he moved to the Utah division with several other employees; in 1995, he moved to work for Atlantic Research Corporation in Virginia, and continues to work in the propulsion industry, finding many common colleagues along the way. Dr. Knigert also explains the origin of the company's name, and advises students to learn continuously, and briefly explains the connection between the UAH Propulsion Research Center and Thiokol.
