Biographical / Historical

Tallulah Brockman Bankhead (January 31, 1902 to December 12, 1968) was an American actress born in Huntsville, Alabama. She rose to prominence in the 1920s and 1930s, eventually performing both in Hollywood and on Broadway. By the end of her career, she had amassed nearly 300 roles in television, cinema, and radio programs.

Bankhead was also a civil rights activist, frequently butting heads with her own family over politics.
