Biographical / Historical

A 3.77-acre cemetery with around 400 gravesites (135 with markers), Mount Paran Cemetery is the final resting place of Revolutionary War veterans, pioneers, and other Americans in a wide variety of professions. Mount Paran is one of the earliest known Cumberland Presbyterian campgrounds in Madison county, and its oldest surviving gravestone is dated 1826.
