Abstract

"Legislative hearings were conducted on January 6, 1982 in Montgomery, Alabama, to examine the 1983 budget of the University of Alabama system. In a departure from tradition, Dr. John C. Wright, President of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, yielded a portion of his presentation time to allow the direct testimony of a Huntsville industrialist. This unusual approach allowed the committee to receive first hand a "user's" perspective. That testimony is reprinted herein for dissemination to those interested in the University of Alabama in Huntsville."
