On July 13th, a subpoena was issued "for R.C. Lowe, Ed Flemming, Will Mason, Gordon Powers, John Henry Davis, John Dovan, witnesses for the State and Edmond Smith for defendant...This day cause defendant waved examination, gave bond as requested by law, for his appearance at the November term of Grand Jury."
