The letter is in German: "Liebre Irmgard und lieber Ernst, zuerst noch einmal schriftlich unseren herzlichen Dank fur Eure letzte, so reichhaltige Sendung mit lieben Briefen samt Geburtstage-Buddleia-Gedicht, Ausstellungs-Prospekt, Konzert-Programm und sehr eindrucksbollen Bild-Reportagen. Ihr habt doch auch im Deep South vielerlei kulturelle Aktivitaten, an denen Ihr teilnehmt. Auch imer wieder neue Briefmarken habt Ihr, diesmal arktische Tiere. Die US-Post ist unermudlich im Herausbringen immer neuer Block- und Bogen-Ausgaben. Das kann kein Mensche zusammenbringen. Morgen fliegen wir ab nach Catania, die Sindelfinger bringen uns zum Flugplatz. Heute abend werden wir nochmals telphonieren und jetzt soll noch diese Sendung mit Sulzbachtal-Speisenkarte und -Prospelt zur Einstimmung auf das bedeutende Ereignis und mit ein paar Erinnerungs-Photos aus unserer letzten Zeit an Euch abgehen. Auch ein kleines Juni-Opernprogramm liegt bei. Ob das auch noch klappen wird? Karten muBten von uns jeweils 4 Wochen vor der Vorstellung im Vorverkauf geordert werden, als Mieter (die wir im Kleinen Haus ja sind) werden wir aber bevorzugt und ermaBigt Karten bekommen. So, das ware vorerst genug zur Vorausplanung. Alles andere wird such finden und hat ja auch noch Zeit.
