There are descriptions on the back of the photos, which are written in Germman: "Allerhochste Anerkennung u. Danksagung aus dem Cabinet S. Majestat des Konigs Wilhelm II von Wurttemberg." (Highest acknowledgment and thanks from the Cabinet of His Majesty King Wilhelm II of Wurttemberg.) "Dis Platten bleiben fur Nachbestellungen aufbewahrt u. konnen jederzeit Abzuge sowie Vergrosserungen davon geliefert werden." (The plates are kept for repeat orders and prints and enlargements can be supplied at any time.)
