There are three little pieces of paper in the front of the album that are written in German: (1) "So wie ich bin, so bleib ich nicht, Das wirst Du wohl verstehn, Es soll der Mensch von einem Licht Fort in das andre gehn. Drum schenk ich diese Bildchen Dir, Ob sie Dir wohl gefallen? Ganz sicherlich gefaellst Du mir Am besten wohl von allen!" (I won't stay the way I am, you'll understnd that, man should go from one light to the other. That's why I give you these little pictures, do you like them? I'm sure I like you best of all!) (2) "Nicht lange war ich auf der Suche Fuer Dich nach einem neuen Buche. Den Titel ahnst Du wohl genau: Er heisst Che Nain, Die kleine Frau!" (I wasn't long looking for a new book for you. You probably guessed the title: It's called Che Nain, the little woman!) (3) "Hier kommt auch noch ein Film an Als Gruss von Deinem Tilman!" (Here comes a film as a greeting from your Tilman!)
