Abstract
There is a description of the photo on the bottom of the page: "With main engines and solid-rocket boosters firing in parallel, the orbiter Columbia climbs toward space on a column of flame. Space Shuttle was launched on tis first orbital flight April 12, 1981., opening a new era in America's space operations."
