Biographical / Historical

After his return from Dora, Léon Delarbre recalled an episode of the dramatic evacuations of April 1945 during which thousands of prisoners of Dora and the associated Kommandos perished. The prisoners are travelling here in an open wagon, under the guard of two SS. Such journeys lasted days and days in a country in chaos. (Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation, Besançon)
