Notes from MAG: "Served as president of the board, 2004-2005. During MAG's presidency the following was accomplished: JFHNA was incorporated and by laws were adopted, filed for 501 C-3 status, funds raised for international Jewish needs increased 68% resulting in a SAPIR Award presented to JFHNA by the Independent Network Communities. During 2004 personally facilitated an associateion between the National Children's Advocacy in Huntsville and Ashalim (Child Protection Agency) in Israel resulting in five Israelis attending the NCAC symposium, March 2005, and two Israelis in 2006 and 2007. JFHNA expanded existing programs to the general community including Yom Hashoah and Israel Independence Day. The May 2005 Yom Hashoah program included participation by students from Lee High's creative writing class. This event inspired Huntsville's City Schools curriculum coordinator to work with JFHNA's board representative to incorporate Holocaust Studies as an elective in their 2007 curriculum.
