General
Notes from MAG: "While on the Board, I created a cartoon character to describe endowment giving. The character was presented to organizations through a skit and through a cartoon published in the Jewish Federation newspaper. Subsequently I wrote a monthly article explaining endowment giving through fantasy adventures of the "character" using local names, places, and situations. In addition, I assisted a local group of Holocaust survivors in establishing a "designated fund' for Holocaust study by making the first contribution and soliciting the group. The survivors provided the remaining dollars to establish the fund which has grown to over ten times its initial balance and has contributed to museum exhibits, cultural programs, and educational projects. I also appraised and helped to sell a tract of land that had been owned by JEF for a number of years."
