General

The American Export Lines return LBG's chek for $1,050 with the explanation that their boookings already made have to first be absorbed. Other shipping lines were explored. LBG writes to John Sparkman requesting new forms for affidavits. Congressman Sparkman informs him that affidavits are only being issued to close relatives, not cousins. The file ends in 1941. When I (MAG) began researching the Schiffman family, I learned through Leo Schiffman's sister, Claire, that Otto and his family committed suicide.
