Last three charities were al lnew to the list of allocations for Huntsville. The B'nai Brith Home and Hospital in Memphis was and continues to be a hospital and now includes a home for the elderly. The Jewish Children's Hom in New Orleans was a Jewish orphanage that opened in 1855 to assist widows and orphans. It closed in 1946 with its services expanded under the Jewish Children's Regional Services (JCRS). The Leo N. Levi Memorial Hospital opened in 1914 by B'nai Brith as the only hospital in the country specializing in arthritis and kindred rheumatic ailments. The hospital was free in service, national in scope, and non-sectarian in treatment. It continues today specializing in mental health, rehabilitation, and physical therapy.
