First document contains a list of twenty members of hte Huntsville Jewish community and their hand written pledges to the American Jewish Relief campagin totalling $174 plus an additional $100 from the Ladies Temple Aid Society, forerunner of the Temple Sisterhood, dated 1917. The pledges were subsequently paid as noted. To acknowledge the receipt of these funds there is a letter to him dated 1917 from the American Jewish Relief Fund. An additional contribution was made by the representatives of Miss Virginia McCormick in 1922 to the United Jewish Appeal Campaign for $250. Miss McCormick was the McCormick was the McCormick heiress who lived in Huntsville during part of the year.
