General

Inherited through Morris' daughter, Lilly. These properties were on Clinton Street, Arms Street, Southside of the Courthouse Square, and West Holmes Street. Some of these properties were located in a historically black business district and were demolished during urban renewal which took place during the late 1960s. The Bernstein estate properties were managed first by Oscar Goldsmith and then by Lawrence Goldsmith, Sr. After the properties were divided among the heirs, LBG, Sr. continued to manage the properties that belonged to the Lichtenstadter family. A digital copy of the photographs is provided on a CD.
