Bettie Goldsmith left $1,000 to her servant, Charlie Harris, and $500 to her servant, Ella Davis. She also left $1,000 to Huntsville Hospital for the upkeep of the room named for her mother, Henrietta Bernstein. She left the balance of the estate to her husband, Oscar Goldsmith.
Over the years, family members have made contributions to the hospital and other members of the Bernstein and Goldsmith families have rooms named after them.
