Left a piece of jewelry to his grandaughter, Betty, $500 to his neice, Mamie Goldsmith Thaxton, and $400 to each of his servants: Charrlie Harris, Ella Davis, and Lucy Swan. He forgave any debts owed to him by his son, Lawrence, and son-in-law, Edward Grosser. He left the balance of his estate to his daughter, Theresa, and his daughter-in-law, Annie Schiffman Goldsmith.
