Morris Bernstein and Henrietta Newman Bernstein were the parents of Betty Bernstein Goldsmith who married Oscar Goldsmith. M.M. Newman was a relative of Henrietta Newman Bernstein. Oscar Goldsmith was the closest to the Newman family to take over their family business.
