General
Information on family birth dates, marriages, and deaths. Oscar was one of the early stockholders in the Dallas Manufacturing Company and was instrumental in the construction of Dallas Mill. In 1880 he was in the mercantile business and had a dry goods store. Later he served as the Assistant Treasureer of Dallas Mill for over 30 years. Oscar was president of Huntsville Land Company, the company that developed houses for the mill workers on land adjoining Dallas Mill. Oscar named the development "Lawrence Village."
