It would be assumed that the sale of the lot behind 206 Gates to LBG and his donation back to his parents was to satisfy requirements for the Bernstein estate. Note that the legal descriptions of the lots vary. Originally there were two lots with an alley in between. When the lots were given by the Goldsmiths to their daughter and son it appears that the alleyway was eliminated and that the lots were surveyed to be 75'x150' each.
