Formerly: Instructor, Vocational And Aviation Subjects, Los Angeles City Schools; Chief, Air Agency Unit and Civilian Pilot Training Specialist, Civil Aeronautics Administration; Supply Specialist, Office Of The Quartermaster General.

From the back dust jacket of "Aircraft Engines" (1948): "COLONEL ROLLEN H. DRAKE, the author of this book, is particularly well qualified to give instruction in this work. During the war he served as Chief of the Airman Agency Unit of the Civil Aeronautics Administration under which all CAA approved ground schools operated. He has also served as Senior Technical Examiner for the United States Civil Service Commission. He has had, in addition, wide experience in teaching technical and vocational work in aviation ground schools and in high schools and vocational schools. This book is one of his series of texts and references for aviation mechanics which provide complete, authoritative instruction on all work requiring CAA certificates.
